Large painted envelope mailed with some hesitation to Valentine Mark Herman in France, for his Marilyn Monroe project.
When I did this painting I realized it was more a portrait of my deceased second mother, Ruth Hélène Flach, from Uberlungwitz near Karl Marx Stadt in former East Germany, now Chemnitz again. Ruth was a stunning blond beauty when she was younger, so no wonder that in my head Norma Jean transformed into Helena of Uberlungwitz!
