Small painted envelope for Theresa Ann Aleshire Williams, USA
And Papercut around the poem "Romance of the moon, moon"
Fragment:
"Runaway moon, moon, moon.
When the gypsies come
they will make from your heart
white bracelets and rings.
Child, let me dance.
When the gypsies come
they will find you
on the anvil with closed eyes.
Runaway moon, moon, moon.
I can already hear their horses."
(translation/adaptation G.V.)
Comment by Lynda Jo Thornbrugh, USA, on IUOMA (on the papercut)
This is one of my absolute favorite pieces of art on this site. My stomach feels funny, its that good. The color, composition, poem. Beautiful.
