Intervention on a mail art envelope, connected with this short poem:
Fallen Madonna
So slow the night moved my heartbeat nearly
stopped
I dreamt about wings on fire in a bright orange
sky
Centuries ago a poet on an island threw a boomerang
from labyrinth earth towards open sea
Now the blue memory of a scattered sentence returned to me:
"I write my verses with air" (*)
(*) verse by Sappho
Mailed as contribution to the project Mail2Maastricht in the Netherlands, curator is Rod Summers.
