Inspired by these lines:
"In Russia
1000 acres burned
near Moscow,
animals perished
& rockets ignited"
The "after Russia" in my title refers to a major work by the Russian poet Marina Tsvetaeva (in exile). It was David Stone who introduced me to these tragic poems in Baltimore in 1997.
